José Abelardo Quiñones

José Abelardo Quiñones Gonzales (Pimentel, 22 de abril de 1914-Quebrada Seca, 23 de julio de 1941) fue un aviador de guerra peruano y teniente de la Fuerza Aérea del Perú. Declarado héroe nacional del Perú por la Ley n.º 16126, del 10 de mayo de 1966, a causa de su inmolación en una misión aérea contra las baterías ecuatorianas durante la guerra de 1941.​ Asimismo, cada 23 de julio (día de su inmolación), se conmemora el Día de la Fuerza Aérea del Perú. También como homenaje, su imagen aparecía en el billete de diez soles.

Pedro Domingo Ruiz La Rosa, más conocido como “Pedrito Ruiz”, ídolo máximo del deporte en Huaral, está de cumpleaños este lunes 6 de Julio, celebrando sus 75 años de vida.
Pedrito Ruiz fue un exquisito y virtuoso mediocampista, integrante de la selección peruana, con la que obtuvo el título de la Copa América en 1975.
Hijo de Don Juan Ruiz Gallardo y de Doña Antonia La Rosa. Es hermano de Daniel Ruiz destacado jugador del club Universitario.
También hermano de Jaime Ruiz La Rosa (jugador de universitario de deportes ) y de Manuel Ruiz La Rosa (también jugador de universitario).
